Las mujeres que han suavizado su tono, minado sus palabras, o adaptado apariencias para ser más agradables para la cultura dominante. Lo escribàpara promover el empoderamiento y la igualdad. Escribàesto para nosotras. Como una mujer dentro del género Hip Hop, a menudo mi viaje ha sido obstaculizado por las expectativas de hablar o interpretar una narración construida por la opinión masculina. A través de mi experiencia, he tenido que aprender a encontrar mi voz y afirmar firmemente mi propia definición de feminidad a través de la música. Quiero lo mismo para mis hermanas. En cualquier capacidad que ellos elijan. Para futuras generaciones de mujeres jóvenes que quizás no estén familiarizadas con Maya Angelou, pero escuchen notas de su coraje a través de mis melodÃÂas.
